The main assumption of all our projects is that cross-cultural management and organization scholarship can inform the effective and appropriate management of people and resources in Africa, as follows:

Good organizational management is essential for the well being of human kind....not least in sub-Saharan Africa......Effectively managing resources would seem a logical way of alleviating human hardship and poverty, and ensuring the welfare and dignity of all people within the sub-continent, and creating wealth. This can only be driven by a firm understanding of the multicultural context of African countries, based on empirical research and a cross-cultural methodology, and the development of cross-cultural competencies in conjunction with local and international stakeholders (Jackson, 2004: More details...)

 

Projects

This project was the first to study management and change in Africa both in breadth (in 15 countries) and depth (in 4 countries), using multi-level and multi-method empirical techniques. [More details..]
